Since June of 2011 I have been working for a business called ViBella Jewelry. We design and create jewelry from recycled materials like plastic bottles, paper, and bottle caps. The focus of this business is to give at-risk women in Haiti, the United States, and soon, Mexico safe and stable jobs in Jesus' name. I assist in the design and production of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. I also take a leading role in training new employees in specific designing processes.
The affect from this ministry is obvious. Not only are the women in Haiti now able to afford the necessities to live and send their children to school, but; ladies here in Iowa are being touched by the Lord in amazing ways. We were able to witness one of our employees give her life to Jesus while working with us.
We are expanding from our current four centers (one in Sioux Center, IA, and three in Haiti) to include a new center in Mexico. I have been invited to participate in setting up this new center.
The only expense necessary to make this happen is the cost of airfare, which is estimated around $900. We plan to leave the week of March 5, so airfare needs to be purchased as soon as possible.
